Love affairs... killer penguins? This is starting to sound like a cover story from The National Enquirer! The difference being, this stuff you are about to read is all true and based on facts.
Over the past few days, I put on my detective cap and did a little digging around online for you.
It’s about time for YOU to know what’s going on here.You see, for the past 24 months I knew this was quietly happening in the background... with few people actually commenting about it or making any fuss.

Lately, I’ve been speaking a lot about Amazon.com and why there is a major shift in power taking place right now in the search engines - especially with Google.

Amazon is taking over Google. Affiliates, Search Engine Marketers and ecommerce sites are all watching their rankings (and traffic) plummet, while Amazon gets a front of the line pass straight to the top of Google!
Why is this happening? For a few reasons... Everyone knows that when Google ranks a website, it looks at the volume of backlinks. This is an important ranking factor. Affiliate Marketers we’ve
been building affiliate sites, review sites and blogs with Affiliate links all pointing back to Amazon.com
Now before you jump up and say, "But wait... I only use no follow links and
other tactics to hide links"… it does NOT matter.Google admitted (well Matt Cutt's admitted) that Google does give some link value to no follow links, and the point is that thousands upon thousands of webmasters have been sending links and traffic to Amazon - this includes social activities such as Tweets and Facebook Likes that are also very powerful links.

So, we’ve been doing all the dirty work to generate HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of backlinks to Amazon.com and make Amazon into a monstrousauthority site. And now.... Amazon is dominating Google competing against the very Affiliates (like you) who helped Amazon rise to the top.This is evident now more than ever since the latest Google Panda update.

And recently, after a series of Google Panda updates, now Google’s love affair with Amazon is even MORE apparent. I’ve known about this for that past 24 months and since I’ve been speaking about it a lot lately, many people are finally starting
to take notice.
The first time I publicly discussed this was a few months ago. I was invited to speak at Yanik Silver’s
Underground Seminar and really didn’t know what to expect.
It was my first time ever speaking in front of a large group of people. The minute I stepped offstage, there was a crowd of people following me towards the back of the room. Their questions, comments and feedback only reconfirmed in my mind about what was really going on.

People are frustrated trying to playthe “free traffic” Google game.Let’s face it, Google is still the “king” of search. And now that Google is giving mega sites like Amazon.com preferred treatment... it’s getting even
more difficult to complete.

2009?!? It's 2012 now! Yeah, I know.
But, when it comes to “how to make money autoblogging”, much of the information you read today is based on what worked in 2007-2009.
In Internet time, 2009 was 6 years ago. When you rely on Google, Yahoo and Bing for free traffic (like we do with
autoblogging), following information from 2009 = 90% chance of failure
The rules are constantly shifting. You need to adapt... or die!
That’s why I wrote this post. If nothing more than to cut through all the fog out there and give you a proven-to-work autoblogging roadmap. Information you can use that will get you results right now and for years to come.
If you are like many Internet Marketers today, you are interested in getting started with autoblogging. Let’s face it. It’s the ultimate hands-free “set-it-and-forget-it” business.
But, before you jump in and set up your next (or first) autoblog, give this post a quick read. It will really get you on the right track and avoid the all-too-common 13 blunders that will de-rail your autoblogs.
But, before I get into the real meat here, let me say something real quick. I know that’s what you are used to reading lately. All kinds of wild claims about someone hauling in 8 grand in 12 days or getting 178,000 visitors with a brand
new blog using some secret software, Google loophole or underground method.
Let’s face it, autoblogging is a HOT topic right now. Some shady marketers know this and exploit it by showing you some crazy numbers, and then asking you to buy a $97 autoblogging product or software to learn the “secrets”.
There is only one way to describe it. And since a picture speaks a thousand words... I call bullshit!
Sure, anybody can log into their ClickBank account and show you how they made $8,000 in one week. How do you know all that money was generated from a brand new autoblog? The fact is, you don’t.
These days, making $8,000+ in 12 days with a new blog rarely happens - unless you have a huge list, pay for traffic (Facebook ads, PPV, PPC, etc.), you are promoting a big-ticket $1997 product (with 50% commission)or have other
advantages working in your favor. Or, unless you just got really, really lucky! What I’m about to reveal to you is all based on in-the-trenches fieldtests. Stuff that actually works. I’m not promising you, $8,000+ in 12 days. Let’s talk about REAL numbers for a second, ok?
The thing is, you can build a nice $57,600 per year (that’s $4,800 per month) autoblogging business.That’s enough cash to replace a good salary. You can do it. What’s the real secret to autoblogging? Start building your autoblog empire following a proven blueprint and playing by todays rules, not by trying to trick Google, like it was 2007.
Today, autoblogging is a game of Angling, not Hunting Angling? The anglers are the ones making good money with autoblogging.
Blunder #1: Being shady
Being a shady autoblogger is not cool. Sploggers are shady. Tricking (or gaming) the search engines is not the way to
build a long-term business. Shady autobloggers steal (or scrape) content from other blogs or websites. They also remove any links from third-party articles they post to their blogs (so not cool)... and do a host of other things that are
low, dishonest and just.... well, shady! Don’t do it. Google will punish you. I love to keep Google happy, so should you. Ok. That first one may be an obvious one. Now that we got that one out of the way, let’s get more specific.
Once you’ve installed and configured your first autoblog, some experts tell you to immediately do something. This “something” will hurt you.
Blunder #2: Aggressive pinging
In WordPress, you can define a ping list. What’s a ping list? Basically, it works like this... Every time you make a new blog post, your blog will alert (or ping) dozens of other “hub” sites and let them know that your blog was just
updated with fresh content. You’ll get some backlinks too. Back in 2009, aggressive pinging was the norm. More pings
= more easy backlinks = more search engine activity on your blog... and so on. Today, aggressive pinging doesn’t work like it used to. Just like taking your daily vitamins. One a day is good, two a day is better.... 30 a day might kill you!
Take Away: Our tests indicate that Google gives more credit to a site/blog that gets found naturally through a few third-party links and not through mass pinging. Getting a link or two from an established website is a perfect way
for Google to ‘accidentally’ discover your site. Don’t force feed your site into Google, over-ping or get 200 backlinks in 2 days. More is not better.
Blunder #3: Stinky content
These days, Internet Marketers are worried about duplicate content. I’m not going to go into a big discussion here. Our experience shows that Google does filter out sites that have the same content. Think about it... when was the last time you saw the top 5 sites on Google with the exact same content? Never happens. What is at the heart of every autoblog? What keeps things humming along? That’s right... good content.
In 2009, getting content was easy. Grab an RSS feed or two, grab some content from an article directory, cut-and-paste some Yahoo Answers... or use a script that does it automatically.
Today, Google has dropped the hammer on these type of autoblogs. It’s easy to spot these autoblogs 3 seconds after you visit the page. Don’t you think Google has the technology to do so too? You bet they do.
Take Away: Use unique content sources. Don’t use the exact same crappy content as everyone else. Don’t make your blogs look spammy (like splogs) by auto posting useless press releases and Yahoo Answers to your blog.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2571069320793482119.post-18286840392544642932012-03-01T22:24:00.001+02:002012-03-01T22:24:19.596+02:00New NeighborhoodThanks for the guest post by Kristofer Bartlett

My husband and I just moved into our new house, and we love our neighborhood. We have never lived in a place that has such a sense of community. Everyone is so friendly, and willing to help. We were lucky to find a house here, because they usually do not stay on the market for very long. Most of the neighborhood is filled with people who have kids around the same age as ours. Because we all have kids who go to the same school, we met people pretty quickly. Since we moved here from out of state it was nice to make friends who we could ask for recommendations. We got some great tips on which restaurants and stores to check out. One couple recommended we go to http://www.expertsatellite.com/ to get our satellite TV hooked up, and another one recommended a great day care center for our youngest child. If it wasn’t for them it would have taken us much longer to get life organized in our new place. We’re also happy that the kids are already making friends and feeling like part of their classes at school. We are relieved that things worked out for us.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2571069320793482119.post-73204228596987764432012-02-03T21:54:00.000+02:002012-03-01T22:12:34.587+02:00Beyond Link BuildingEveryday you see a new link building system come out or someone talking about new ways to build links, but you never seem to hear about on page SEO. It's just not as exciting, most people (even pros) brush it off as a given.
Obviously, off page SEO and link building are critical to getting high search engine rankings and traffic but there are also a huge number of on page SEO strategies and tactics that can be implemented and fully controlled... by YOU.
Back when I use to take clients for SEO and site building, I was almost always shocked at how horrible the on-page SEO was on their existing websites... espeically the sites created by "web designers". In my experience less then 1/4th of web designers have a decent understanding (or at least do a decent job) of even the most basic on-page SEO.
But you can't really blame them, they're simply not taught quality SEO in school, they're taught how to make something pretty looking... but that's worthless without traffic!

On page SEO is powerful, I'm frequently able to point a few links (literally 30-60) from a blog network (also extremely powerful), do some killer on page SEO, wait a couple weeks, and rank top 5 for my keyword(s).

But this post isn't about traditional, old school, on-page SEO. That's just the basics and you can find good tutorials all over the Internet for those basics. This is about one of many more advanced white-hat on page SEO strategies that can be automated andimplemented on your site (for free)... today.

Link Juice Pumping (Pagerank Flow)
A common, yet advanced on-page white-hat SEO strategy is known as PageRank flow or link structuring. (If you're not familiar with pagerank it's basically Google's original way of determining the value of a site and it's content. While there's some debate about how accurate current pagerank #'s are, higher pagerank on a page generally means higher rankings.)
Internal Pagerank flow revolves around pointing links to pages on your site that you're aiming to increase search engine rankings for. For example, if you have a product on your site that you know is searched for in Google more then other products you may want to add more links across your site to that product using the product's keyword
search phrase as anchor text. (Ex: Product Name) You'll see this
frequenty sitewide in the footer of SEO'd sites. (You should also be building internal keyword targeted links like this to your "money" pages on your sites.)
Just changing internal pagerank flow is often enough to jump your search engine ranking for a term 1-3 places extremely quickly. The more pages you have on your site, the more boosting power you'll have.

2nd Page Sniping

A 1-3 position jump is good and all but where it gets exciting is looking at search data for
page 1 results vs page 2 results.
According to AOL search data, a change in search rankings from #11/#12 to #10 (1st page bottom) increases clickthroughs to your website by 4.5x! We can also look into the data and see that an increase from any ranking below #20 will be at LEAST a 10x increase (often from no traffic to tons) by getting to page #1.

So our goal now becomes to identify search phrases that we currently rank for on page 2 of Google (with the highest priority on #11-13, the easy jump spots). By finding these keywords we can place keyword anchored site-wide links for the keywords that will provide us the largest 1-3 spot traffic boost.
We then need to constantly monitor the site, pick up changes in rankings, pick up new keyword phrases, prioritize based on position and traffic and update the sitewide links.
A self optimizing system that continually fights and picks up new front page rankings from the low hanging fruit keywords that you may never had even thought about.

Meet the 2nd Page Sniper WP Plugin

I took these basic concepts and created a simple, powerful Wordpress Plugin that will handle all of this keyword logging, analysis and link posting automatically.
2nd Page Sniper will log all incoming search queries to your site (the keywords that people have already used when finding your site) including the page that you are
currently ranked on.
It will then display links in the sidebar of your blog that it determines to be most likely to create significant ranking increases for with the greatest traffic potential. The displayed links will link to pages of your site using the anchor text of the keywords 2nd Page Sniper has determined will be the best to boost.

First, download the plugin here.
Then, simply log into Wordpress, upload and install the 2nd Page Sniper Plugin, and add
the Widget to your site... and done. Your site will automatically start working on collecting traffic data and increasing your rankings for you.
It may be interspersed with HTML code on a web page so long as the JavaScript conforms to its own programming language rules. Here is what this part of the tutorial covers:

Using/Calling functions

How to make your own functions

A JavaScript function is a block of code (one or more lines of JavaScript code together in a set) with a name. The JavaScript language includes many functions, called built-in functions. You can also make your own functions.

Using/Calling functions
When you call a function, the browser runs the lines of code in the function. Whether the function is built-in or one you made, call it in your program by typing the function's name. A function name always includes a pair of parenthesis at the end. There might or might not be something between the parenthesis. If you want to send data to a function when you call it, put the data between the parenthesis. For example,

alert("Hello everybody!")

is a function call that displays an alert box proclaiming: Hello everybody!
If there is more than one unit of data to send to the function, separate them with commas. (A unit of data can be either a number or a string of characters, the latter being enclosed between single or double quotes and being called a "string" in most programming languages with which I am familiar. If you send more data units than the function will use, the excess is ignored. The alert() function expects only one data unit. So sending more than one, such as

alert("Hello everybody!","extra")

will cause only the first unit to be displayed in an alert box: Hello everybody!

On the other hand, if the units of data you send to a function numbers less than the function expects, the function will assume the rest is undefined. Trying to do calculations with something undefined usually produces an error message. Printing something that is undefined will usually produce the word "undefined". For example,

alert();

will display an alert box with: undefined To find out how many units of data a built-in function expects
to receive, you can consult documentation or emulate how someone else used it. The first method is more certain to be correct while the latter may be faster with sufficient certainty for the job at hand.

How to make your own functions
Here is a function template:

function blahblah() {
alert("This is function blahblah() speaking!");
}

The first line of functions you create must contain the word "function", a space, and then the name you assign to your function. The open curly brace character can follow on the same line or be placed on the line following. Below the open curly brace is the function body, those lines of program code that will be run when the function is called.
Immediately below the function body is a close curly brace. In the above example, the function name is: blahblah() The function body between the open and close curly braces in the example is composed of one line which calls a built-in function. So when you call blahblah() an alert box appears with: This is function blahblah() speaking!

You can call your function blahblah() from an HTML anchor link such as:
click here
(Notice how the browser is told it is a link to a JavaScript function rather than to a regular URL.)
Or, you can call your function with a form button such as:

onClick="blahblah()">
(Because the word "onClick" is JavaScript code, the browser knows blahblah() is a JavaScript function -- and when it doesn't find a built-in function by that name it looks for one
you created.) Your functions can call built-in functions and they can call functions you make. Example:

function example() {
alert('Here!');
blahblah();
alert('Back to you...');
}

When you call the example() function, it first displays an alert box with: Here! then it calls your blahblah() function which displays an alert box with: This is function blahblah() speaking! and after that, it displays an alert box with: Back to you...
The ability to call other functions from within functions that you create is highly advantageous.
Consider that your program might have a dozen or so functions, most of which require a specific action as part of their larger purpose. Let's say that action is calculating the number of milliseconds that have elapsed since the visitor arrived at your page.
So you make a function to do the calculation, called elapsedmilliseconds(). Now, instead of writing the code to do the calculation in each of your other dozen functions, you just call the elapsedmilliseconds() function where appropriate.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2571069320793482119.post-9000662600923806072011-12-20T22:18:00.000+02:002012-03-01T22:19:30.690+02:00How Computer Works
Computers are the most complex machines that have ever been created. Very few people really know how they work. This book will tell you how they work and no technical knowledge is required. It explains the operation of a simple, but fully functional, computer in complete detail. The simple computer described consists mainly of a processor and main memory. Relays, which are explained, are used in the circuitry instead of transistors for simplicity.
Did you ever wonder what a bit, a pixel, a latch, a word (of memory), a data bus, an address bus, a memory, a register, a processor, a timing diagram, a clock (of a processor), an instruction, or machine code is? Though most explanations of how computers work are a lot of analogies or require a background in electrical engineering, and need somebody to tell you precisely what each of them is and how each of them works without requiring any previous knowledge of computers or electronics. How far you can get may depend on your background. A junior high school science background should be enough. There is no mathematics required other than simple addition and multiplication.
Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2571069320793482119.post-23277649182248727632011-11-29T00:18:00.001+02:002011-12-01T19:18:58.816+02:00Basketball TrainingPGC Basketball provides intense, no-nonsense basketball training for high school basketball players, as well as college and professional basketball players. PGC basketball camps are designed to teach student-athletes to play intelligent basketball, to train purposefully, to be coaches on the court, and to be leaders in practices, games, during the off-season, and in everyday life. This is not your typical basketball camp. In fact, it’s far more than a basketball camp—it’s a university.

Their courses are designed to teach basketball players to play the game intelligently, to train purposefully, to be "coaches on the court" and to be leaders in practice, in games, during the off-season, and in everyday life. PGC is an indispensable guide for players and coaches who desire to lift their basketball IQ to a higher level. The Prep School is specifically intended to prepare junior high and freshman players for high school varsity basketball and is the ideal starting point and introduction to PGC for younger athletes. The Prep School is an ideal way to prepare for becoming a successful varsity high school basketball player. The Prep School basketball camps also provide the ideal foundation for all other basketball courses.

The Prep School summer basketball camps are redefining the basketball camp experience for boys and girls basketball players. Far more than just basketball training and skill development, junior high school basketball players and high school freshman basketball players learn essential leadership, communication, and life skills. Many summer basketball camps talk about character and leadership development in their promotional materials—see how their youth basketball camps actually teach them. Prep School is a must for any player who desires to excel as a high-school student-athlete.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2571069320793482119.post-62266953858949471052011-11-22T15:32:00.001+02:002011-11-24T17:55:01.584+02:00CymaxCymax is a leader in ecommerce retail. Sure, they're always nice to get, and the food is always good to eat, and the music does warm your heart, but there's one thing that I REALLY need during the holidays that totally trumps the rest of that. I need to spend time with my family, first and foremost.
I hate to admit it, but I probably didn't view the holidays this way for most of my years growing up. You know, as a kid it's easy to get caught up in all the grandeur and magic of it all and overlook the fact that the holidays bring whole families together on a regular basis. This year, though, I'm making sure everyone feels appreciated. I'm hosting at my place, and I'm working on making a very nice seating area in the living room big enough for our whole 20-person clan. I even made arrangements for my neighbor, who works with web domain products to come. I'm looking forward to sitting and enjoying each other instead of going in a million different directions. It should be one of the best Christmases yet, and one I hope everyone remembers for a long time!Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2571069320793482119.post-81646020731890592872011-02-04T19:21:00.000+02:002011-02-04T19:21:10.567+02:00Pros and Cons of Mobile MarketingeMarketing emerged because of the Internet, and has marked a shift in the way that
companies invest their marketing and advertising budgets.
Not only has the Internet become a major channel, but the connectivity and
community aspects of the Internet have brought about a mind shift in the marketing
of savvy organisation. Mobile Marketing is shaking things up once again.
As a direct response medium with lowered costs, easy customisation and sophisticated tracking, even on a mass scale, mobile is proving to be an extremely profitable medium for advertisers and marketers.

7 Unique Benefits of Mobile
With direct response and relatively lower cost of communication, mobile is changing
the face of the marketing and advertising horizon. Tomi Ahonen (Ahonen, 2008) has
identified seven features unique to mobile phones, highlighting the unique benefits
and challenges of the mobile phone.

1. The mobile phone is personal.
A 2006 survey (“Wireless Works” by BBO and Proximity) found that 63% of
respondents would not share their phone with anyone (and 90% of those surveyed in
Japan would not share their phone). While laptops do present a personal connection
to the Internet, they are not as personal a device as the mobile phone.
The implication for marketers: Respect for privacy and permission is exceptionally
important in all aspects of marketing, and particularly so when it comes to mobile phones.

2. The mobile phone is always carried.
What do you take with you when you leave your house? Wallet, keys and mobile
phone. What do you keep always near you when you are in your house? Mobile phone.
According to 2007 research by Morgan Stanley, 91% of mobile phone owners keep
their phone within one metre, 24 hours a day. People have their phones with them at
all times of the day, even in the bathroom.
The implication for marketers: Messages sent to recipients can be read and acted on
immediately. Unlike, for example, email which requires that the recipient be in front of their computer and connected to the Internet, messages sent to mobile phones will most likely be accessed within minutes of being received.

3. The mobile phone is always on.
In order to fulfil its primary function – as a telephone – the mobile phone is always on. Messages and services can be sent and acted on at all times of the day.
The implication for marketers: Similar to the previous feature of the phone, the
fact that the phone is always on changes the services and messages that can
be developed for the phone. It also means that marketers need to be even more
sensitive with their marketing communications. Not many people would appreciate
an SMS at 4am informing them of a special offer.

4. The mobile phone has a built-in payment system.
This is perhaps the key feature of the mobile phone, and one reason why content
for mobile phones in many areas generates as much or more revenue than content for the Internet. Every mobile phone has a built in payment mechanism – the SIM card. Billing is easily handled through the user’s mobile network. Not only do mobile phones have this built-in payment mechanism, paying for content and downloads
has been built into the way that consumers use their phones. There is less of an
expectation that goods and services will be free.
There are also a number of services that turn the mobile into a virtual wallet or
bankcard, bringing banking and payment services to people all around the world.
iChannel, a mobile news ticker feed in Japan, generates US$ 192 million per year
in subscriptions for its US$ 2 a month service. It has more paying subscribers on
this single service that all online newspapers in the world combined (Moore, 2008).
Similar cases can be made for games, music and other mobile content.

The implication for marketers: Consumers are willing to pay for services and content on their mobile. Advertising is not the only way to generate revenue for content.

5. The mobile phone is available at the point of creative inspiration.
As the mobile phone is always carried and always on, it is always available as a
creative tool. Phones today feature a number of tools that let users act on creative impulse, from taking photos and videos, to becoming a scribbling pad on which to jot down ideas.
The implication for marketers: The feature can be used to encourage interactivity
within campaigns created for mobile. It presents the mobile as a useful tool in viral campaigns based on consumer generated content.

6. The mobile phone presents accurate audience measurement.
While the Internet is vastly superior to other media in its ability to track and measure advertising and marketing campaigns, it is eclipsed by the mobile phone. Every transaction made on a mobile phone can be uniquely tracked to that mobile phone number, whether the transaction be a voice call, an SMS message or accessing the Internet.
The implication for marketers: Aggregated data provides extensive profiling and
segmenting opportunities for targeting the right audience. Campaigns can also be
accurately measured and tracked for ROI. Bear in mind as well that this accurate
measurement means that mobile phone users have far less anonymity than Internet
users. Even though at least 50% of mobile phones worldwide are on a prepaid or pay-as-you-go type of contract (which means that the network operators do not have
the phone user’s name and demographic details to go with the mobile number), each transaction made by the phone user can still be measured. Be aware, that the networks determine the data that they are willing to share with the marketing
company. This limits the information available.

7. The mobile phone captures the social context of media consumption.
Because of the nature of the mobile phone to accurately track transactions to any
particular phone number (user), it can track transactions between mobile numbers
(users). This means that sophisticated data mining can identify patterns that indicate information and preferences of mobile phone users. Not only can alpha users be identified, but they may be identified within their social context.
The implication for marketers: This information will represent rich data that can be used to both create and market products, content and services online.

Advantages of Mobile Marketing:
The Benefits of the 7 Features
Instantaneous: Or, at least in principle. As the audience is likely to be carrying theirbmobile devices with them in a standby state, they are more likely to receive and absorb the message on the spot. Always around, always on.
According to comScore, Inc., a leader in analysis and commentary of the digital world, advertisements for restaurants and food boast the highest response rates of all SMS advertising. On average, 16% of those receiving an advert for a restaurant are likely to respond, while 13% of those receiving an offer for food – such as a grocery coupon – will show interest.
According to Nic Covey, Nielsen Mobile’s Director of Insights, Nielsen finds that 13% of mobile users both recall and respond to mobile ads, while 16% view the ads but do not respond.

In terms of methods of response:
25% of mobile ad respondents sent an SMS message
13% sent an MMS (picture SMS)
11% sent an email
9% visited a Web or mobile site
7% responded to click-to-call

MediaPost.com notes that: “Encouragingly, among those who did not recall or respond to mobile ads, only 10% cited privacy concerns as their reason for not responding. Just 2% said their data connection was too slow.”

Efficient: Creating content such as images or video for streamlined mobile devices is relatively inexpensive when compared to desktop or laptop systems which can handle content of the highest quality. The limitations of mobile devices such as screen sizes, data transfer rates and costs mean that content needs to be simple
when created for mobile.
This mobile efficiency is also great for promotions, issuing vouchers and other permission-based marketing and incentive services. Promotional codes and coupons can be relayed to the audience via mobile devices, allowing users to ‘carry’ around the virtual information and use at a convenient time.

Convenient: With a good idea in action, mobile campaigns can prove more convenient than traditional media, as the content is kept down to a minimum and the platforms are adaptable on a mass scale.
Sharing: Like the desktop based Internet, mobile connectivity can make sharing information a breeze. Not only does Mobile Marketing have massive viral potential, but planning a campaign to go offline and then return online by using such multimedia devices such as 2D barcodes, Global Positioning System (GPS) or camera
capabilities, can attract others to get involved.
Broad: Potential for brand new audience who may not have much online experience, while specific target groups can be singled out. According to a report released by The Kelsey Group in February 2009, the number of mobile Web users in the US is expected to grow by just over 40 million by 2013, clocking in at a whopping 95 million users. During this period, the number of mobile handsets in America is expected to grow by just under 25 million.
Consumer Relationship Management: As mobile technology is essentially the first mass-communication vehicle which relays messages directly to the individual wherever they are, there is an increase in relationship building potential. Mobile phones are private and relatively secure, allowing for a more personalised approach
to media. Marketers can receive feedback instantly, leading to a valuable two-way conversation with their audience members.
With reduced costs of broadcasting messages, regular updates on procedures such as insurance claim processing via SMS maintains customer contact and can reduce call centre volume.

Real Time Tracking: As with the traditional Web, tracking and reporting is easy, effective and instantaneous – if the network providers play ball, that is. Quicker response times lead to increased tracking potential and market understanding.
Customisable Mass Communication: Mobile Marketing is often able to reach a wider audience due to the accessibility of mobile devices when compared to the number of those who have access to traditional, desktop-based Internet – especially in developing countries such as South Africa. There is often potential for device detection, geo-locating, location-based messaging (such as location specific and sales related broadcasting Bluetooth messages in shopping centre) and other handy tools for targeting.

Multimedia: Like PC based Internet, photos and videos are available, but it’s never been easier for users to create and share this content, provided that they have the latest phones. The ability to view this content is important to modern Mobile Marketing, but campaigns can also be centred on user generated multimedia content. Audience participation allows your campaign to grow exponentially, in content and influence.
Novel: The Mobile Marketing industry is not yet saturated with excessive promotions. Users and advertisers both still see value in Mobile Marketing.
Adaptable Integration: Mobile convenience makes it easy to cross platforms and promote other media sources by incorporating mobile elements into current campaigns. For example, Common Short Codes (CSCs) can be used in a TV or radio ad to get the public to enter a competition or request information. All they need do is text a specified keyword to the five digit number advertised. RSS (Really Simple Syndication) can be fed via SMS to your contact list, informing of news, specials or other valuable marketing information.

Microblogging platforms such as Twitter are another increasingly popular communication tool for marketers and consumers and have major benefits when incorporated into a mobile campaign. According to a Nielsen report published earlier
this year, in January 2009 735,000 unique visitors accessed Twitter via their mobile
device (out of a total, estimated at 6 million – via Twitterfacts).

Payment: Mobile devices have the potential to replace the physical wallet as it is a relatively secure payment device. This means the consumer doesn’t have to carry around wads of cold cash – but can pay via advanced mobile Web systems or even with basic USSD services (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) or CSC
services.
Direct, Personalised Marketing: By the time you’ve finished reading this sentence, a mobile user could have received a direct marketing message. As his or her device can be used as a virtual wallet, there is potential (especially in countries such as Japan where mobile payment systems are common) for a sale to be completed at the peak of interest.
In the UK, the mobile phone network Orange ran a successful campaign around movies. All Orange customers could go the movies for half price on a Wednesday. All they had to do was text the word MOVIE to a particular number, and in return they would receive a unique code with which to claim their discounted tickets.
In return, Orange then sent the list of prospects who requested discounts information about the movies being shown at their local cinema. How did Orange know which was the local cinema?
Simple: all they had to do was match the unique code to the number it was sent to and the cinema it was used at.
According to an article on Ixplora, the campaign provided up to 300 000 people with half price movie tickets every week, resulting in 3 million more punters in UK cinemas every year and making Wednesday the most popular week-day to visit the cinema.

Disadvantages of Mobile Marketing
Few Standards: Mobile phones are even less standard than PCs. Not only do phone models present a myriad of screen sizes, there are also several operating systems and browsers that are used by mobile phones.
Privacy and Permission: Privacy is always in question on any network or device. Savvy marketers must be aware of the connection that users feel with their mobile phone, and offer clear instructions for opting out of marketing communications.
Questionable Navigation: The mobile phone is small, and has a small screen and keypad. While some phones have a full QWERTY keypad, many have the standard numeric keypad. When it comes to the mobile web, consider that phones do not have a mouse and few models have touch screens. For the most part, navigation of the mobile web is through the keypad or scroll buttons on the phone - making mobile more of an objective based exercise for the user, rather than casual browsing.
Education: The use of more advanced features of phones can require an extensive education process. While mobile phones have a host of features, these devices are for the most part under-used.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2571069320793482119.post-74256301477070378022010-09-29T00:19:00.000+03:002010-09-29T00:19:53.008+03:00VideoEgg Buying Six Apart

VideoEgg ad network announced today it will buy marketing and blogger network Six Apart to create a combined media company called Say Media.
There may never be a better time for buying silver bullion than right now. World demand for silver now exceeds annual production, and has every year since 1990. Above ground stockpiles of silver bullion are low, shrinking rapidly and approaching zero. Since the end of WWII, for example, the U.S. government -- once the largest stockpiler of silver on the planet -- has dumped billions and billions of ounces of silver bars onto the world market, effectively depressing silver prices. Today, that government silver hoard is gone... and now the U.S. government is a silver buyer. For these reasons, silver bars represent an outstanding investment opportunity.
Go to: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

2. Up the top, you'll see a bit of text that says "Results are tailored to...".

3. Click the "Edit" link beside this, and select "English", then "All Countries and Territories" (or the appropriate country if you're want data specific to a particular country - good when your target market is based in a particular country.)

4. Type in a single keyword that best describes the market.

5. For example, if you wanted to research the Car Insurance market, use the keyword Car Insurance

6. Tick the "Use Synonyms" box, and tick "Filter my results".

7. Enter the capcha (the funny-looking letters that appear in the picture) into the box provided.

8. Then tick "Don't show ideas for new keywords. I only want to see data about the keywords I entered."

9. Press "Get keyword ideas"

10. The "Approx Avg Search Volume" box will give you an indication of how many people are searching in this particular market each month.

Getting Visitor Value Data

Next, we want to look at what each visitor is worth.

Ι looked at a lot of options for this, and finally settled on a simple, but ingenious solution.

The solution was to take Cost Per Click figures out of Google Adwords.

If you haven't heard of Google Adwords before, it's a marketplace for advertisers to essentially buy visitors to their web-sites.

Advertisers create an ad, and choose how much they are willing to pay for each visitor - and they only pay when someone clicks on their ad - so if Google Adwords doesn't send them any visitors, the advertiser doesn't pay a cent!

This means advertisers have less risk - they only need to pay when their ad is effective.

The benefit for advertisers to pay more for their ads is Google gives prominence to advertisers who are willing to pay more per click for visitors.

For Google, this is a way of maximizing their ad revenue.

For advertisers, this is a way of maximizing their clicks.

So advertisers will compete and outbid each other for the most prominent ad positions, in order to attract the most customers.

This makes Google Adwords like a stock market for visitor traffic!

The more someone is willing to bid for a visitor, the more that visitor is worth.

No visitor wants to go bankrupt, so we can be pretty certain that if the guy in the #1 ad position in Google is paying $2 per click, he's making at least $2 per visitor on average!

So if we can work out what the cost-per-click figure is that we would need to pay in order to achieve the #1 position in Google, we can estimate the maximum value of each visitor in a
particular market.

How to get Cost per Click figures using the Google Keyword Tool:

1. After following the steps detailed above (under "How to use the Google Keyword Tool to get traffic levels in your market"), you should see a drop-down box that says "Show/hide columns".

2. Click the "Show/hide columns" box, and select "Show Estimated Avg. CPC"

3. Click the "Show/hide columns" box again, and select "Show Estimated Ad Position"

4. In the "Calculate estimates using a different maximum CPC bid:" box, select the appropriate currency - the currency you plan to sell your product in.

5. In the box beside your chosen currency, type 99 and press "Re-calculate"

6. Check that the figure in the "Estimated Ad Position" column says "1-3"

7. The "Estimated Avg. CPC" figure displayed here is the figure we'll be using.

Calculating Total Market Value

Once we have estimates of Traffic Levels and Visitor Values, we can put them together using a very simple formula:

Traffic
(x Multiplied by) Value per Visitor
----------------------------------------
(= Equals) TOTAL MARKET VALUE

This tells us the total monthly value of visitors searching for a particular keyword (or keywords) in a market.

(Because Google's Traffic figure is a monthly figure.)

So, let's try this calculation out, using Scrapbooking as an example:

Τhe average monthly traffic figure for the Scrapbooking market ιs around 2,740,000;

And we know that people are paying up to $0.85 per click - just to get ONE of these 2,740,000 people to their web-site.

And we can use these figures to estimate the Total Market Value using the equation:

Traffic 2,740,000
(x Multiplied by) Value per Visitor $0.85
----------------------------------------------------
(= Equals) TOTAL MARKET VALUE $2,329,000

So 2,740,000 x $0.85 = a Total Market Value of $2,329,000 per month, or $27,948,000 per year!

18
So 2,740,000 x $0.85 = a Total Market Value of $2,329,000 per
month, or $27,948,000 per year!

Don't Get Greedy!
OK - now that you have this knowledge, it's important to use it wisely.

That's why I give you this warning:

Don't Get Greedy!

It's easy for someone to let their greed gland secrete, and start counting the money they'll make - before they've made it!

If you feel your greed gland getting away from you...

STOP IMMEDIATELY!

Just because there's $28 million dollars worth of traffic around for Scrapbooking, it doesn't mean you are likely to make $28 million dollars per year out of this market.

You're not. I'm sorry if I've burst your bubble.

You're more likely to make a tiny portion of this (so don't go buying dune buggies, waterfront mansions or small nations just yet!)

After all, the figure represents the total value of all Google traffic in that market - which is shared between thousands of web-sites ( it's shared unevenly - with high ranked web-sites getting more traffic!)

How big is the portion you're likely to capture?

Well that all depends...

on what you price your product for;

on the competition in your market;

on your visitor-to-sales conversion rates;

on how many competitors exist in the market;

on how easily you can achieve high rankings;

on the strength of competition in that market;

on how hard you work;

on how easily you can dominate your niche;

αnd on a stack of other factors that can influence your business...

But all things being equal - if you have two markets with similar levels of competition, where you sell a similarly priced product at similar profit margins - you can generally expect that the market with the higher value will be more profitable.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2571069320793482119.post-20197532275913276602010-01-01T22:08:00.002+02:002010-01-11T22:18:15.598+02:00Master Funnel CreationHere is a list of all the different proven funnels you can create and incorporate within a campaign. A website holds static
information whereas discussion groups are like talking to someone on a telephone. A blog marries the two together.

Blog entries are like entries you would make in a diary or journal. You can post a thought, interest or information that might be useful to others and they can leave you a comment about it, if they choose. Blog entries are archived for historical review.

Blogs can be created by an individual or by a group (group blog) to discuss a common interest (e.g. political, community, corporations, etc.) Blogs are great for business because they give the business a personal feel. Blogs can be tied to an existing website or created as an independent site.

Some of the advantages of using a blog are:

1. It is easy to add fresh content; you don’t need to hire a web designer.
2. The most current information is added at the top (reverse chronological order) so the visitor
can read the latest information first.
3. ‘Posts’ (messages) are sorted by date, category or archive, which helps your visitor search for a particular message.
4. ‘Posts’ (messages) can be posted on the main page or as individual pages, which can be
archived monthly, weekly or daily, your choice. Archiving keeps your blog clean and makes it
easier for your visitors to find a post you have created.
5. Visitors can post comments to your blog.
6. You can tell people a little bit about yourself by posting your profile.
7. You can post pictures to your blog.
8. You can include links to other websites.
9. You can use RSS feeds. (RSS feeds are a way to automatically get information from other
websites posted to your blog. This is a great way to add content without writing everything
yourself.)

History of Blogging

The term “weblog” was first introduced by Jorn Barger in December 1997.

Peter Merholz coined “blog”, a shorter version, in April or May of 1999. It can be used as either a noun or a verb.

Around 1999 Paul Kedrosky’s company GrokSoup and Evan Williams and Meg Hourihan’s

company Pyra Labs (founder of Blogger) created software to promote the new phenomenon of blogging.

In February 2003, GoogleTM purchased Pyra Labs product Blogger.

As of March 2003, the Oxford English Dictionary included the terms weblog, blog as well as other related words.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2571069320793482119.post-32708715551859552222009-10-30T23:19:00.002+02:002009-10-30T23:30:48.630+02:00E-CigarettesElectronic cigarette, or also known as e-cig or an e-cigarette, is the world's smallest form of a vaporizer. Unlike herbal vaporizers, the electronic cigarette is designed to vaporize glycerin-based liquids such as propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin. The electronic cigarette consists of 3 parts: rechargeable battery, atomizer, and a cartridge. When a user inhales on an electronic cigarette, the movement of air is detected by a micro sensor which activates the heating element, also known as the atomizer. The atomizer heats up the cartridge containing liquid, which turns into vapor.

The most interesting part of the E-Cigarettes electronic cigarette is the atomization chamber. This is where the magic happens and this part of the device is responsible for creating the vapor like smoke, very much like a real cigarette. This vapor is a result of the nicotine dilution, that is found in the cartridge, heating up or atomizing. This is what produces the vapor that when inhaled gives the user the nicotine hit that smokers crave, but without the negative side effects of smoking tobacco.

At no7ecigarettes.com you can buy cheap cigarettes online right and have them shipped to your door overnight. That means people are familiar with it and comfortable with it. Because Blogger works with just about any Web browser, is available in many languages, and is free to use, the barriers to entry are practically nonexistent.

The first steps
Anyone can start a blog with Blogger right now and be a part of the blogosphere in less than five minutes. It’s true. To start a blog using Blogger, you only need to visit the Blogger home page and follow these three simple steps:

Create an account

Name your blog

Choose a template

Naturally, navigating through the above steps and the steps that come after you launch your blog (when you customize it and make it look and act the way you want it to) require a bit more work.

The right tools
To start a blog with Blogger, you only need a computer and an Internet connection. However, the more you blog, you might find that you want to experiment with different blogging methods and capabilities. For example, you might want to invest in a digital camera so you can take your own pictures to upload in your blog posts. Alternatively, you might want to buy a digital video camera and try your hand at video blogging.

The important thing to remember is that your blog will grow with you. Start with the basics. As you become more comfortable with Blogger and with blogging in general, don’t be afraid to test the waters and try new things.

Creating a podcast might sound impossible to you now, but the more you blog, the more apt you are to jump in and learn something new to take your blogging experience to the next level.

Don’t rush in and buy all the cool gadgets on Day One. Take your time to learn and then decide which tools will help you meet your blogging goals. Blogging success doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time and patience. None of those tools is going anywhere.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2571069320793482119.post-46735501203811219272009-10-10T17:25:00.002+03:002009-10-10T17:29:35.669+03:00Comparing Blogger to Other Blogging Software OptionsBlogger has changed significantly in recent years. New functionality is continually added to ensure that Blogger retains its position as market leader. Other blogging software programs have come and gone with several threatening Blogger, but the team behind Blogger continues to improve the product by offering improvements and new technologies. The following list describes some other blogging programs:

WordPress: The biggest rival to Blogger is WordPress, which is known for its wide variety of plug-ins and add-ons, such as contact forms, related posts links, and sitemaps, that allow users to customize their blogs to suit their individual needs. Blogger offers customization, but WordPress
wins the race in terms of giving users the most variety. The drawbacks of WordPress are twofold:

• The free version is far more limited than the version that requires users to pay for their own domain names and web hosting.

• The free version doesn’t allow users to monetize their blogs.

TypePad: Although TypePad is easy to use, it isn’t free. Users pay a monthly fee to use TypePad. It offers a decent level of customization, such as templates and design (although less than WordPress with paid hosting), but its use comes at a cost.

Moveable Type: The program’s biggest drawback is the expensive licenses that users have to pay for in order to use it. The installation process also isn’t as simple as in other blogging software programs, and its features aren’t as vast. On the flip-side, it is extremely easy to add
multiple blogs to the same account with Moveable Type, which made it popular for team blogs in the past (although WordPress is gaining ground in this market).

LiveJournal: Users must pay a monthly fee to use LiveJournal, which provides a limited number of features and customization options.

MySpace: MySpace offers a blogging option, but it’s quite different from Blogger and many of the other available blogging software programs because so much of the success of a MySpace blog comes from the audience of MySpace members who become its “friends”. MySpace is more
of a social network with a blogging platform included rather than a stand-alone blogging
software program such as Blogger.

Xanga: Much like MySpace, Xanga is a social networking site with a blogging option integrated into it rather than a stand-alone blogging software program such as Blogger.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2571069320793482119.post-39959486606860841452009-08-15T18:25:00.002+03:002009-08-15T18:45:50.957+03:00How to Post If Your Blog Is Blocked As SpamSometimes Blogger will block access to a blog because it thinks it's a spam blog. But most of the time it is wrong! The same happened to me and I had to contact them in order to unlock my blog.

The problem is that until the Blogger staff review your blog, you can't post anything. And sometimes it takes them a few weeks to review a blog. In that case you will lose a lot of your readers because they will visit your blog and see that there is no new content.

So, what do you do? The solution I found is called WriteToMyBlog.com. It's a free online service that allows you to write an article and then post it on your blog. It works because the post comes from a different IP and for some reason it can bypass the Blogger block.

They offer a nice WYSIWYG HTML editor and you can post your article not only at Blogger but also to Wordpress, Typead, Movable Type and Dotclear.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com
