Ask Google How To Live Your Life

This is scary!Google predicted that Internet users of the future could find themselves turning to Google on a daily basis for guidance on how to live their lives! Thanks to the increasing amount of personalised information it is accumulating on individuals, Google will be able to advise users who type in questions ranging from "what job will I take?" to "what should I do on my day off?"Can you believe it?This is crazy!Speaking at a conference organised by Google, the company's chief executive, Eric Schmidt, said: "We are very early in the total information we have within Google. The algorithms will get better and we will get better at personalisation."
Meanwhile Google has invested millions in a human genetics firm called 23andMe. The combination of genetic and internet profiling could prove a powerful tool in the battle for the greater understanding of the behaviour of online service users. The company already holds a huge amount of information on its users. This ranges from the contents of e-mails in its Gmail service, to credit card details through Google Checkout, its online payment system.
A recent survey found that 3/4 of its users are not aware that Google stores data on them!
